You’ve heard of the comic books; now Yahoo! Maktoob brings you the animated TV series of THE 99 superheroes.
Beginning in Ramadan, THE 99 is the story of a group of superheroes and their fight against evil. The series is based upon the stories of the ancient 99 Noor stones, and the powers that the stones gave their bearers.

Dr Ramzi, THE 99’s mentor and leader, has been trying to find the stones all his life – wishing to bring the stones and their bearers together, to train THE 99 in the fight against evil.
The mysterious Rughal, Dr Ramzis’ nemesis, has been hunting the Noor stones for centuries, in an attempt to capture the stones for an unknown purpose.
The first series focuses on the early days of THE 99 and Dr Ramzi’s struggle to find and unite the 99 superheroes from around the world.
THE 99 was initially only available in its comic book form, but thanks to creator Dr Naif Al Mutawa, THE 99 has been fully animated into a 26-episode series, available online for the first time.
THE 99 is currently featured in a cross-over with DC Comic’s Justice League of America (JLA), featuring THE 99 fighting alongside Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aqua Man and the rest of the superheroes.
Starting Sunday July 22, catch a new episode of this 26-episode series every day online, exclusively on Yahoo! Maktoob Screen. And, in case you get withdrawal symptoms once it ends, Yahoo! Maktoob Screen will also feature the full-length movie, The Unbound, for Eid.
